Seaweed Community Action Fund
Good charts take time. So does turning shared questions into carefully checked policy ideas. Brackish & Co’s community fund is a way to support the research, education, and outreach behind that effort.
No donation required to add your name. Organizations, businesses, and agencies can discuss support for a defined piece without being described as endorsers. Use Open Collective for current contribution options and financial record. Permit Reef does not take payment here or promise a policy outcome.
The community pilot
Start with shared effort.
The Seaweed Community Action Fund is the community pilot described in Brackish & Co’s October 2026 plan. It supports the early work of education, outreach, and shared policy research. The proposed pilot runs for 12 weeks, with a $10,000 net work budget and about 180 paid hours at $50 an hour. The public ledger is on Open Collective. These are planning figures, not a statement of funds raised. Read the campaign page for current terms.

The separate 12-month funding proposal covers draft development and verification, specialist policy support, public outreach, and infrastructure planning. It includes planning estimates, not final vendor quotes, and does not mean the full program is already funded.
